# 2 – Meramec CC (southbound)
Status: On time (7:40 a.m.)
I was up early so caught an earlier bus. The bus I need runs every 30 minutes. The alternate bus runs every 30 minutes. If they were 15 minutes apart, this would be awesome, but they arrive at basically the same time and, for my part of the trip, follow basically the same route. This means if I’m not ready 30 minutes early, then there’s no point in hurrying.
The earlier bus was more crowded than my regular bus last week, but I also know more campuses have started classes this week (including mine). And not so crowded that I didn’t get a seat. Two women next to me started talking about a parking program at school for people who don’t have a regular parking permit. My ears perked up as this was not something I had heard about it. As soon as I got to my desk, I looked up the details online.
you I need the car. Generally, it’s because I have an appointment off campus not convenient by bus. I have either parked in the garage, which is around $8/day, or on a street near campus. With this program, I can get a batch of day passes for less than $5 each and use them throughout the year as needed. Yay for bus knowledge.
# 2 – Rock Road
Status: On time
Setting: The back of the bus. Two women and one man are involved in an energetic conversation. The man is stating his reasons for not wanting to get involved with a woman who already has children. The women didn’t think that would be possible.
Man: Say I’m with her and then the baby daddy’s calling at 3 in the morning?!
Woman 1: You don’t have to worry about that. I’d take care of it [as the mother]!
Woman 2: That means your woman is still fucking the baby daddy.
